Often called the ‘free boiler scheme’, the official name for the ECO4 scheme is the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme. This initiative, led by the government, requires major energy suppliers like British Gas, EDF, and SSE to assist low-income and vulnerable households in replacing their inefficient or broken boilers, as well as improving insulation.

Now in its fourth phase (ECO4), it’s crucial to inquire about your eligibility before it’s too late. If you qualify, the ECO4 scheme offers a range of energy efficiency measures at heavily discounted rates or even for free. These measures include boiler replacement, external wall insulation, cavity wall insulation, and more.

Will my new boiler come with any warranty?

Regardless of the brand you choose (whether free or contributed), your newly installed boiler comes with a standard two-year warranty. If you wish to extend it, simply contact the supplier to discuss a nominal cost for a five-year warranty.

How much will a government funded boiler replacement cost me?

In general, there are only two situations where a small contribution might be required. Firstly, if you opt for a Worcester Bosch or Vaillant boiler instead of the Ideal Logics that we install, a small contribution may be discussed due to the higher cost of these premium brands.

Secondly, if your household’s existing boiler doesn’t meet gas safety regulations, certain modifications may be needed to pass the checklist. However, rest assured that each situation is unique, and any contribution required will be directly discussed with you.

What happens if anything gets damaged?

We take great pride in our workmanship and attention to detail. All our workers are fully insured, and in the rare event of any damages caused by our contractors, we will promptly replace the affected items.

How long will I have to wait before my new boiler gets installed?

Our goal is to complete the installation as quickly as possible! From the moment you get in touch with us to the moment we leave your doorstep on installation day, our team will work together efficiently. Since different funding options require specific information, the sooner you provide it, the faster we can get the job done for you.

Will I get a like for like replacement?

In terms of performance and power, the replacement boiler will be equivalent. However, it may not be the same brand. The kilowatt (KW) rating will be matched, and the new boiler will be more efficient, resulting in substantial savings on your gas bills.

Do you qualify?
